Default Having problems with Mbox3 on Win10

Hi!

I have just upgraded from W7 to Windows 10 Home edition. (With Win 7 my Mbox3 and PT 12.5 were working fine.)

Now with W10 my Mbox3 have some problems to find its driver (I have the latest Mbox3 driver from Avid's website). When I open my W10, Mbox3's blue light is flashing. I have to open my control panel and "relaunch" Avid's hw driver. Everytime I open my computer!

I have tried everything (reinstalling the driver, changing usb for Mbox3, optimising W10 for PT ect.).

I can't find a solution for this. Is someone else having this problem whit W10 and Mbox3? Please, give me an advice to solve this.

Thank You!

Default Re: Having problems with Mbox3 on Win10

I'm in the same situation. I would like to upgrade my DAW from W7 to W10. Currently I'm using PT11 which isn't qualified for W10, but it seems that P12 isn't either, as there are still problems. When I've tried to install W10 on my DAW earlier, I have also experienced the same problem you're describing with my Mbox3. I've thought it was a driver issue because back then there still weren't any W10 drivers for the unit. But if this problem is still present with the latest driver that is listed as W10 compatible, it means the issue lies in the PT software itself - even in the latest version. Good thing I still haven't upgraded to PT12 as this clearly wouldn't solve the problem.

I have decided to stick to W7 and PT11 for the time being and only upgrade to PT12 and W10 when Avid finally give us the green light. Fortunately, once you install W10, you should be able to do it later free of charge, despite going back to W7 for the time being. At least, I hope so.
