Default Inactive-->Active midi; notes turned green & won't play

Hi,

I made some midi tracks inactive, and then made them active again. After making them active again, the notes in the midi edit window turned green (they are normally blue) and don't create any sound, nor do they register on the meter as the playback bar moves across them.

Any help would be appreciated--I'm in PT LE 8 Windows.

Sometimes, when midi tracks are made inactive, then made active again, you must verify that the original routing is same as before.

Check midi in and out, are they greyed out? Was this a VI or external module generating sound?

This was Xpand2. Though I didn't figure out the root cause, I just duplicated the track & the dupe works fine.

Thanks for the reply!

VIEW -> MIX WINDOW->SHOW INSTRUMENTS

When you activate and deactivate Inst. Trax they will sometimes lose their assignments.
