Pro Tools and Apple laptops
I have a Mix3 system and thinking about an MBox with either a TiBook or an iBook .
I'm not sure which laptop to go with. Any experienced views would be appreciated. Is there a real difference in PT performance between the 600Mhz iBook and the Ti 550? Is there a critical comfort difference in their screen sizes? Which one is more durable? Are you using the internal or external drive for your PT audio? Thanks Jim |

The iBook is specifically designed to be dropped. The PowerBook is not. I'm planning on getting an iBook and the MBox for doing on-location 2-track recording. If you are editing on the laptop, screen size will be important. I'll just be recording and transfering to my big PT rig for editing.
