Default Why can\'t I play .WAV files??

I just built a quad, but for some reason it seems like I don't have a .wav codec or something. For example if I bounce a session to WAV (using PT LE 7.1) I won't be able to play that WAV file in my windows media player. I've looked all around for a codec or something...I can't figure out what's going on. please help! THANKS!
