New 11R Bundle

Does anyone know when the new 11R bundle will be available at e-tailers like Musician's Friend and others? I saw 2 on eBay last night from some seller, but not today.

Wow, nobody knows anything? I hope it's not a month or two. I'm probably going to center my next version of the amatuer home studio around this and am not crazy about the full list price on Avid's site. (Sorry avid, but I've got more stuff to buy and need the dough)

At first I didn't know what you were referring to, but there's now info on the Avid site. It apparently comes bundled with PT9 instead of 8, and it also comes with the Expansion Pack pre-installed:

Keeping in mind what it comes with, that would explain the higher price. But what's on the Avid site may be MSRP, and dealers may have it cheaper once it's out.

EDIT: Comparing the Mbox + Protools 9 bundles on the Avid Store site vs. dealers, applying the same type of discount to the Eleven Rack bundle, you could probably expect it to be about 10% cheaper than what's listed.

With the current expansion pack included, I'm really hoping there's a new expansion pack just around the corner. 11/11/11 anyone?

I'm blind. What's the bundled price? I went to the link and clicked on 5 different pages and couldn't find it.

From a current owner's perspective:
$250 PT9 + $40 Dongle + $100 Expansion are included.

In the Avid Store it says $1299, and in a couple of announcements on websites, it says $1259 (I just googled "Eleven Rack Bundle").

But again, this is probably MSRP, and dealers will have it a little lower.

Apparently it also comes with a free Ilok. Not sure if it's Ilok 1 or 2.

If you paid full retail ($899) for the 11R, and did the crossgrade from it, and bought the expansion pack, and an Ilok, it would come out to a little more than this bundle.

However, the existing 11R has been discounted or put on sale a lot, so if you got it at a discount, then added the other stuff, you still probably came out ahead.

We'll have to see if this new bundle gets discounted just as aggressively by dealers.

I think it's a smart move by AVID to include the expansion pack, it make a huge (!) difference from the V1.x firmware!
It was only a matter of time that they'd bundle a PT9 license with it (same as MBoxes). But I think they should offer it additionally without software.
I wish I'd had the possibility to buy 11R without any software (I did run PT9 already). Now I have a PT8 LE license I do not need!
