Default 001 bleed

Does anyone with a 001 ever experience track bleeding when recording 2 or more tracks???
I am getting this and it's annoying.

I am running XP on a PC with PT 5.3.1. I have my 001 connected to the buses on my console. I am sure that my buses are clean because I still use them to track to an ADAT deck ( no bleed).

Thanks

Never. Are you sure it's not headphone leakage or console bleed?

Hope this is helpful.

No, I am only recording instruments punched in at the busses ( no headphones). The console is not bleeding, because I don't get bleeding when I record to an ADAT recorder.

I may have figured it out, though. I think that the INPUTS on tracks that PLAYBACK have to be set to NO INPUT or the playback data bleeds onto to new tracks when recording.

Peace

Someone else verify.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">This would mean no connection to the problem. Check if outputs of the playback tracks might be routed either to the recording tracks or to aux channles that lead to recording tracks.

All of the playback tracks from PT are routed to Stereo OutPut 1&2 (No Auxes). I am recording on inputs 3,4,5,6,7,8.

The point I was making is that on the PLAYBACK tracks from PT, I still had the INPUT selected during playback. The recording tracks are active too with the INPUT selected. I could still the other track being played back.

Sounds confusing ??? Basically - turn off the INPUT of any PLAYBACK track from PT, or you may experience some bleeding.

Peace

I don't doubt what you're hearing, but I don't understand it.
The only way the input selection should come into play is if a track is record enabled.
I often have several "playback" tracks set to the same input, with only one rec enabled at a time, and have never had the problem you describe.

I had the monitor input punched to a BUS submix out - The same BUS that was sending to the 001. I also, found that a new microphone that I had hooked up across the room was still on and recording while I was tracking... Silly me....

Engineer error... I am glad it was not the 001 - I was about to be pissed...
