Default Problems with PT and OSX accounts

Having problems open a session when logged on as a different user on the same computer. Are there any common pitfalls I should be aware of?
Permissions are disabled for all media drives (SCSI). I keep getting a main bus error when trying to open a session created by a different admin-user account. Ideas anyone?
Are WAVES plugs a problem in this scenario? I have a suspicion you see!!

thanks Nick
