Question Bounces being cut short in PT8

AH, more teething troubles with PT8 HD!

Anyone else notice that when bouncing a track in PT8 that it does not capture all of the track but cuts short a fraction of a second before the end?

On the audio book recordings that I am currently working on this is a real problem and I am now having to extend each track by half a second to make sure I capture all of the last word. This has not been a problem under previous versions (in my experience).

Any ideas DIGI? or anyone?

A Cadbury's cream egg to anyone who can tell me why this is happening.

Thanks

Craig

Craig,

Try the bounce with delay compensation enabled.

Definitely a delay compensation issue easily fixable. We do every mix with delay compensation turned on, specifically because of the fraction of time (longer with larger sessions and more plug-ins) that can be lost. Your other option is to start extending the end of your bounce selection by 10-20 frames to make sure that nothing is cut off. No one is going to notice an outpoint but you.

Hi Jeremy, thanks for the quick reply. Sorry to have taken so long to get back to you but had some down time while I ripped out the studio and put it back together (sort of). Interestingly enough the "delay compensation" is enabled and yet the bounces from that session only seem to get cut short. In the end the only remedy was to put and over lap either side of the track. It doesn't happen in other sessions. Must just be a duff session.

Send me your address and I'll get your cream egg off to you

Thanks audgod too. Much appreciated. Shall I send you half an egg each?

Cheers guys

Craig

Maybe any plugins on the mix bus have exceeded the ADC amount!! in which case you need to extend the bounce selection by the same amount that the ADC has been exceeded by!
