Avid S1 hardware revisions
Hi,
I have a question and a problem... I ordered two S1 from a major dealer in Europe and received two different revisions: 9900-74096-00 REV: J (from June 2022) 9900-74096-01 REV: A (from November 2023) Are they technically different? Does anyone have experience with different revisions in use? and the weird thing: they both have a different haptic feel (the plastic surface). That is why I even realized that I have different revisions. One is smoother than the other and one matches exactly to my dock. on top... the current revision is 01 REV: B... So I have no idea why there are so many revisions existing :) Thanks!

Re: Avid S1 hardware revisions
All hardware products go through revision changes. Some due to a fault or issue as did the first batch of S1's in 2019. But mostly when components go end of life. This has been especially difficult for Avid(and all companies) over the past few years due to massive supply chain issues. We obviously try to keep the look and feel the same but sometimes this isn't possible, but the operation is always he same.
