Graphic freeze on playback

Also having the same problem. Also only started today. Also installed the Mac OS Security Update two days ago but never noticed the issue until today. I've trashed prefs, reinstalled PT and HD Driver, reinstalled Eucon, tried different sessions with different sample rates. This is killing me.

When you go to About Pro Tools the credit scroll even glitches.

I also just had this start happening today after my install of 2020.5, HD Driver and Avid Link and new Eucon.

In a panic before my next session, I reinstalled it with the new driver and restarted and now it is no longer happening. I'm not sure how I solved it. When I did reinstall, I may have said "don't send info to Avid". I'm not sure if that is the difference. But for now, it is running just fine.

I am having this too. Mac mini 2018, 10.14.6, PT 2020.3. I tried upgrading to 2020.5, no luck. Upgraded Ilok License Manager, nothing.

If I remove any network connection, I can make it go away. But then EuCon doesn't work. So I have a external boot with an older version (2019.10). This works properly. I don't know why. But this started this morning, after zero problems with this rig since I upgraded the mac at the start of this year.

I'll be damned... That fixed it for me. So... what the hell? Why? I kind of need my iLok cloud session for my Slate plugins. And this just started happening today. I did the Mac OS security update yesterday morning but ran PT(2020.5) fine all day after that. I woke up this morning to this issue.

Any ideas?

This is really weird. It seems like everyone is suddenly having this issue today. I did not install the latest security updates from Mac. So I'm not thinking it has anything to do with that. I do wonder if everyone having these problems are using Eucon.

no Eucon.
iLok cloud however (godforsaken).
otherwise, just the stuff in my signature. well, and a ton of 3rd party plugins of course.

Did you try turning off your network (Wifi)? If you have iLok, it could be that.

I'm not using iLok cloud and I was seeing this issue. I was just using my plain old iLok. I also didn't turn off my network settings when the issue resolved for me.

It does not seem to be ilok related. I signed out of all ilok cloud sessions and still had the issue. I'm going to see if one of my plugins is phoning home too or something.

Current workaround:

1. Turn off all network connections
2. Boot Pro Tools
3. Turn network back on and work as usual
