Default Viewing angle adjust?

Hey - sorry for the silly question, but I'm spending more and more time on an S6 these days. Is there a viewing angle/brightness adjust for the Soft Key display mondules? I mean, if I'm looking at them from directly overhead they're bright enough, but at the typical angle you're at when seated at the console they're almost unreadable. Am I missing something?

thanks!

The brightness settings of the panels are customizable to your liking.

thanks - Yes, know about that for the knob and control modules, but I don't think it works for the soft key disiplay screens does it? Again, it's a viewing angle problem.

Is your S6 in custom furniture? It shouldn’t be lying completely flat..

Nope - it's the standard Avid base.

Maybe Jeff can chime in. I've never had a problem reading the Soft Key Modules. Maybe there's something wrong with the displays?

System settings - OLED, TFT and Display Module brightness. Never heard of them not being visible. They are full viewing angle spec displays.

Yup, that's cranked. OK, I guess I'm not missing anything, if I'm right over them they're fine, but if I'm at normal sitting position viewing them at about 30 degrees they're very dim. FWIW, the Display Module Brightness setting seems to have all it's range from 0 to 40% - from 40% to 100% there's essentially no difference on any of the TFTs, OLEDs, Soft Key modules. Some issue or is this just the way it is?

So revisiting my original post many months later: We just had to replace one of the softkey display modules as it was completely dead, and the problem is clear now. Attached is a picture of our display modules; the upper one is still the original and the lower one is new - you can see the upper one is extremely dim. These have always been like this since we got it (very early in the S6 production run.

So was this a problem with early S6s or is this one just broken and has always been so? Thoughts?

I didn't realize you had one of the first S6's. Yes (like mine) these are not as bright. They are however a lot higher resolution. We had to change as they weren't made anymore. The screen we use today is brighter yes.
