PT Studio Renewal
I got an email from Avid to evaluate my annual renewal options. I have an offer where I can save $100 per year if I create a whole new Pro Tools account.
My renewal is 12/13/2022 and the offer is good until 1/4/2023. Q1 - Should I disable auto-renew and just purchase the new PT on 12/13, or prior to 12/13? In other words, when is the best time to let my current annual subscription lapse? Q2 - Will this require a full uninstall and and reinstall??? Q3 - Why do I need to do a whole new purchase instead of Avid just discounting my renewal?

You can disabled Auto Renewal and when your license expires simply purchase the new subscription. You'll get a new license but the software doesn't need to be reinstalled. It's available in https://my.avid.com/products#MyProducts

Install an license are two separate things, but you obviously need to have both. With that said, if something changes in your licensing it does not necessitate new install.
