Default Latency in ableton 8 with digi 002

Hello

I have a digi 002 and i work with protools 8 and ableton 8. When i record in protools, we reduce de buffer and i don´t have latency. But in ableton i can fix the problem. I reduce the buffer, but i have latency. What can i do?

I work in Mac 10.6.3 2.8 GHZ Quad Core Intel Xeon

Thanks
