Default DVD Conversion (Vob File) for PT

Hi,

a customer wants to give me a DVD for Voiceover.
I wonder, how i could convert the Vob-files for the use in Pro Tools!?

First Question: what format? I guess, H.264 should work?

Second question: what tool should i use? I tried VLC and handbrake but i couldn't come to a solution.

There is no need for a big resolution! More important for me is a playback without dropouts or so.

Could anyone give me a hint... or a tutorial?

deel

This instructional video for using video in Logic might help.
SFLogicNinja recommends converting to Photo-JPEG.

I've never used video in PT myself, so I don't know whether it applies to Pro Tools.

Was there a reason Handbrake didn't work for you?

Knowing what you've tried and what didn't work will help guide you to a solution.

Thank you both for the replies!

I tried different methods to convert with handbrake, PT couldn't read. Sorry, i don't know the exactly errormessage anymore ("not a supportet video format" or so). tried mpeg4, h264.

but know, i have the solution.
i convertet the file with mpegstreamclip! used the photo-jpg format mentioned in the first answer. works good. other quicktime codecs also work.
