networking issues with panther PT Crash
Hi all,
since upgrading to panther and 6.2.2 any networking activity is pretty much sure to crash PT. For example, i just needed to get a file from my powerbook, so i connected (airport on the powerbook, ethernet on the PT computer) both have panther. Seems ok, but when i disconnect the powerbook, either by ejecting it in the finder, or it goes to sleep or something, PT gets the eternal spinning beach ball from hell and needs a force quit. Every time. Used to work with earlier versions. Any ideas? Thanks I'm tired of relaunching this big feature-length session! |

Re: networking issues with panther PT Crash
I wouldn't have thought that you could have ejected it in the Finder because Pro Tools would have grabbed control over it and prevented the Finder from releasing it. The only way I can eject media when Pro Tools is open is to "Unmount" the media in Pro Tools' "Workspace" window. This goes for everthing from Firewire hard drives to the iPod and others.
