Does the interface need to be on for HDX firmware upgrade?
Hello all,
Does the interface connected to HdX card need to be on for a firmware upgrade? Currently upgrading on a spare machine to 2022.9 from 2020.11. System specs: Mac Pro 2009 (4.1-5.1 flashed) Mac OS Mojave HDX 1 Burl Mothership Last edited by RamiHashash; 10-25-2022 at 07:03 AM. Reason: System specs

Just leave it on.
In order to do the firmware update, after installing drivers, you start Pro Tools with HDX as the playback engine and then it prompts for the firmware update. The HDX playback engine needs an interface attached and on to be valid.
