The G4 1Ghz systems were a big dissapointment from the start. The dual G4 1.25Ghz systems are doing much better and range from 18 tracks to 24audio + 12aux Tracks.

Show me the money!!!!

thanks for the props alan. it took a while. it was actually hiding last on the list of notebooks on pricewatch.

anyway it kinda says it in there but a feature I forgot to draw attention to was the graphics. the compaq/hp and probably almost all of the other athlon notebooks only had choices of graphics w/ shared video memory and a lower quality chip.

It's a bit confusing here, but I'm reading the graphics as seperate memory. I'll try to confirm this tommorow. it depends on their interpretation of "external"

If you don't live in OH, then you don't pay tax. Compaq/Hp had like 4 states you have to pay tax in (CA being one of them)

now lets just keep our fingers crossed about davec results right?

Does anyone know why hyper threading must be disabled? Also, I have a Toshiba Satellite P25-S5092
P4 2.8GHz
512 MB Ram
002r with ptle 6.4 with SP2 update
Win XP Pro.

I am also looking for tweaks. I have not been able to record or play back with any HW buffer other than
1028.
