I am running an HD system with a sync IO and a 96IO on a G5 Dual 2.3
The system is running fine once it is all powered on and launched. However over the last few week I've started to get a problem with the sync IO when I power on the room. It comes up with the ring around the power button orange, and won't turn to green and show the timecode until the computer has been on for about 10 minutes. This started as just an occasional thing, and only lasting for a minute or so. Now it is every time I come in in the morning. It is acting like a car that needs to warm up. Restarting the interfaces and the computer don't do any good. Thoughts? |

Try changing the serial cable first. . .
And of course check it's seated well into the core card. . On the core card it needs to be plugged into the socket closest to the digilink socket.

We're having the exact same problem on one of our HD systerms. The other identical system works fine. We've swapped the serial cable with no effect.

have you tried re-flashing the firmware?
other than that sound like component failure
