Anyone have experiences with PRO TOOLS on these newer M1 Pro and Max machines?

Pro Tools has no issues on M1 vs M1Pro vs M1Max. It's Monterey that is required on the Pro and Max that is the issue. Right now the Avid Complete Bundle will cause PT to not launch. Isotope stuff also doesn't work under Monterey.

Monterey will not be supported until early next year. Don't expect to have PT work on this Mac on any level.

Thank you that’s helpful.
Has anyone been able to downgrade to Monterey to BigSur or start up an M1 Pro/Max with BigSur on an external drive or a boot drive or a Parallels/BMWare emulator?

And if we remove ACB, will it load?

Where are these discussions occurring which reference hands-on experience with PT and the new Macs? There seems to be an awful lot of theory & speculation flying around (not referring to you), and conflicting reports.

Big Sur does not have drivers needed.

What? You need drivers for hardware, booting from internal or external does not matter.

I have an 16" M1 Max and PT loads if you remove the Avid Complete Bundle. I can't guarantee that everything works but it will start and play the demo song.
