Error occured while trying to load the controller personality "EUCON" - Win11

Edit: Working right now! My fix was opposite than in a 2020 thread, for me enabling Eucon in Peripherals with a session open in PT worked! (i did do a thorough uninstall and reinstall with reboots and manual residual folder cleaning as well, and cleaned the Registry of "EUCON" mentions in between).

I just had to retire my D-Command due to the fader unit failing, and purchased 3xS1 and a Dock, and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 9+ FE for the Dock.

I was using Pro Tools 2024.6 (and preferred it to PT 2024.10, so had rolled back after quickly testing .10)
But I get the "personality error" ALWAYS when trying to enable Eucon in Peripherals / Ethernet in Pro Tools. I've uninstalled EUCON (via app and removed preferences), uninstalled PT destroying prefs (both with uninstaller and Trasher), reinstalled, tried PT 2024.10 and Eucon 2023.11 but whatever I do I cannot get PT to use EUCON.

The EUCON settings app sees my units fine and updated the firmwares etc.

I used the same router I had used for the D-Command, which was on a separate NIC (ethernet port) on my machine, but I also tried switching the router to the same one used by my MTRX Studio and general internet (disabling the second ethernet port), no help (EUCONTROL Settings always sees the units fine though in all instances).

This is driving me absolutely crazy, 6 hours already spent on this.

Pro Tools has been working fine, and D-Command used to work great but I needed more than the 8 faders my Main Unit had left.

I understand you got this working (from FB) On Windows I have found that a full uninstall and reboot is needed everythime anything is changed.

Hi, no I did not get it yet working. Just troubleshooting things right now, but seems like awfully bad coding that the EUCON Settings app sees things as "ok" but Pro Tools itself doesn't. I also stumbled on Bob Katz' old thread about the same error where he even could connect to the S1 from a different room's mac computer while this was happening... Although his fix posted in the thread does not help me (I am not trying to enable Eucon in PT with a session open).

Its not bad coding, its a bad install. Try this again. Check task manager and make sure Pro Tools, EuControl and MCClient are not running. Uninstal Pro Tools from the Windows Apps uninstal place in settings. Then using the EUCON installer check unistall all apps and remove all prefs. Reboot.

Then go here and delete these if still there: C:\Program Files\Avid

Avid Control Desktop
XMON

Then completely delete this folder: C:\Program Files\Euphonix

Reboot again and install PT
Reboot again and instal EuControl (top checkbox)

Thanks. Will try that. Already confirmed that running PT as admin OR using a fresh new Admin user account didn't help.

Also to check, I was planning on using Avid Control Desktop for part of my metering, and have been installing it everytime when running Eucontrol unified (along with the S1/Dock top checkbox), should it be excluded?

No ACD should be OK to install. FYI I run Win 11 with this.

I did all of that, no help. (Edit: Even deleted the whole Avid folder in Program Files in between the installs and reboots)

Also, In EuControl can you go to about and tell me all the versions listed there
