iPad + 11R

I was just wondering if anyone has any info on if the iPad Camera Connection Kit (i.e. usb connector) works with the 11R as an audio interface?

The way I used my iPad to control the Eleven Rack was with an app called DisplayPad and then just drag the Eleven Rack window to the iPad.

Would be cool if I could be done without a computer though :)

I haven't got a camera but I have personally gotit working over USB (just 11R and iPad) and over Wifi (with 11R connected to a laptop) using http://web.me.com/miu.aco/miuaco-software/

Basically it sends MIDI PC and CC messages to the 11r, so you can do anything that you would normally do with a foot controller. In theory, other programs can do this too. Happy to help out if you run into problems but it's pretty self-explanatory. Wifi control always bring a a smile to my face :)

I see no reason why Avid could't write an iPad interface for 11R over USB... Other than economics. A guy can dream though!

A ok, I can see how that would work. Would be cool if some creative person would build a custom interface to correspond to the original Eleven Rack window.

I've actually been considering buying a cheap netbook to do this in a live situation, but since I already have an iPad...

I'm not looking to control the 11r - rather use it as an audio interface with GarageBand and/or Sonoma Studio Track

Also, it would be groovy to use the ipad as "sampler" or playback of background tracks in a live setting.

I just picked up the Camera Connection Kit from Walmart (kind of weird buying Apple stuff at Walmart) - and will give it a go when I get home later tonight.

Tried it out tonight on an ipad1 and ipad2. Nothing coming in from the audio connections. I also have a cheapy usb headset, plugged that in and it worked right away.

Adamqlw are you able to record audio in? Is there a setting on the 11r I'm missing?

PS: on a related note, I plugged the usb into a POD HD 500 and got an error msg "this unit not supported". I didn't get any message 11r.
