File Extensions/Windows File sharing
Iดm wondering if anyone has had a problem with file extensions after transfering sessions with audio files through a ethernet network with windows file sharing on? NB. Between two mac os 10.3.2 systems running PT 6.2.3.
I just tried that and PT did not find the audio files, because the mac os did not reconize the files as audio files, but either just as a document or a unix file. And the only reason I can find for this is that windows file sharing was on!! Anyone know something about this? Bj๖ssiv |

Re: File Extensions/Windows File sharing
YOu can't send sd2 (Sound Designer 2) and Mac sessions via a network (or email) without first BinHexing them otherwise (as you found out) you'll lose the resource forks. Your best option is to first save the session as Mac/PC compatile and convert the audio files to BWF or AIFF using Save Session Copy In...
What's BinHexing? Rail
