OT: Mackie 624 vs. 824
I have gotten real comfortable on the mackie 824's at the studio where I work, and its made me really start to hate my Alesis M1 Active Mk2's. I am going to probably upgrade, and I was wondering if anyone has compared the 824's to the 624's. I can put down the money for a pair of the bigger ones, but if the 624's sound real close to them, I would like to save as much as possible, cause I am also looking at getting a piece of gear to add on through the adat connector. Any advice?

Re: OT: Mackie 624 vs. 824
i have the 824s. NICE!!! the bottom end is huge. the 624s are nice also. more crisp than the 824, i feel. 624s have nice bottom but nothin' close to the 824s IMHO. can't go wrong with either. check out the new 626s too. i haven't heard them yet but it's mackie latest and greatest. and they are pretty much the same price as the 824s. good luck!!!
