Default Apple PCI Error....Its a DIGI thing

Launch classic (9.2-PT LE 5.1 Installed) from Mac OS 10.2 = Apple PCI Error (will not launch)

Launch classic (base-different partition) from Mac OS 10.2 = No problem

Launch classic ( any configuration) from OSX 10.1=
No problem

this is in addition to overall suspect Digi funtionality with the new Dual machines. Crashes at random and strange extension loding.

I guess it just got worse with Jaguar..

Maybe I just don't understand your post but, your not trying to run PT in OS 9 emulation are you?
Since I don't have OSX, I really don't know what OS 9 "classic" is. I'm assuming it's emulation under the OSX start up partition.
But what I do know is that PT will only work on an actual OS 9.x start up partition. PT and OSX are completely incompatible at this time…

Digi is working on an OSX version right now which they say will be out around the end of the year.

Not that I really need to

but it still sucks...its a digi thing

i also already installed the dual fix...this is new and specific to 10.2

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">This is why they say DIGI IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OS X. If you are going to launch Classic from OS X it is strongly recommended you create a new extension set in 9x with ALL Digi extensions DISABLED including the PCI extension.

And no it doesnt "suck" its not that difficult to move the Digi extensions to the "extensions disabled" folder. Its not just the Pro Tools software that is incompatible with OS X it is the extensions used by Pro Tools under 9x.
