Maybe you should switch to Logic Pro. No Windows support and Apple won't break it!!

I have tried both Logic and Studio One and although they are both great piece of software, I always reverted back to Pro Tools and I mostly do composing and use heavily VIs and thus MIDI. Yes MIDI support could be enhanced in PT, but still.

No DSP, no DAW.
That simple.

For me, Logic surpasses PT in nearly every way, except audio editing. With that, and the fact that I don't have the patience to learn Logic as well as I currently know PT, keeps me going back to PT when I need to work quickly. Apple is no fool -- audio editing will continue to improve.

I too have been messing with Logic, and have made it my "Side DAW." The editing is a bit clunky in comparison to PT, for sure. But the MIDI and quality/integration of the stock VIs is pretty great. I flirted with Reaper for a while, and it just sucks. The Jesus engine or whatever is cool, but I don't do much game work where that would be key.

I just got back into Logic after getting the M1 Mini. I was Logic 7,8 and 9 so it didn’t take long to get a handle on it. It’s a great creative DAW but I prefer to mix in PT. I do plan on mixing in Logic also.

As opposed to 15-20 years ago. People are using whatever DAW they like. I tried Abelton on version 9 so I see the appeal there. No experience with FL Studio. I tried a demo of Studio One but never got a chance to dig in. No experience on the modern version of Cubase.

As much as I like Logic it’s still very Emagic like. Which slightly annoys me. Apple never really made it it’s own outside of some features. The fact that you can’t move channel strips in the mixer is just ridiculous in 2021.

As much as I like PT there are things that look and feel antiquated. But I keep paying so I must enjoy using it.
I do feel some of the recent updates have been underwhelming. But it’s served me.

Can't move the channel strips in the mixer in PT either without affecting the layout in the edit screen.
