permission denied while creating project cache
I'm running Pro Tools First on 2 laptops. One old, one new. The old one opens projects. The new one gets the Permission Denied Message. While searching I found this response
This is typically seen on Mac systems where permissions are set incorrectly. Get Info on the Pro Tools folder in Documents Set Privilege it to Read & Write for your user account. (Check the Project Cache folder inside the Pro Tools folder to make sure the change was applied) I don't know the steps to take to execute this. How do I set Privileges to Read & Write? where is that located? |

Re: permission denied while creating project cache
On Mac OS, you would open Finder, go to Pro Tools folder under Documents, right click on it and select Get Info. In the Info window, expand the section for Sharing & Permissions. This is where you will add or modify the read / write permissions for the folder.
Since your one laptop works, I would bring up the Info window on the laptop that works, then make the settings on the new laptop look the same. |
