tech support - disk error installing 5.3.1
I just tried installing 5.3.1 onto the computer earlier today, and installation was aborted near the finish: prompted " disk error ocurred with DigiSystemINIT - contact tech support"
I tried a few times, uninstalled 5.3.1, used Norton Disc Doctor on the startup disc, and retried - same message. Any hints? 9600/350 stock - 576 RAM (OS 9.0.4) MixCore 2 DSP farm cards SampleCell 2 PCI

Did you mean 5.1.3? Because the version in your post describes the build for Pro Tools HD. That would explain your difficulties. Maybe...

Once more,
At least I THINK it is 5.1.3 - it shipped with my refurb mixcore... Will verify tomorrow (out at the studio) Jay

If the installer consistently fails on the CD-ROM, please contact Digi Tech Support for another disc:
