7.4.2 and rewire-003rack
i had to remove the rewire plug in from the plugs folder before i could launch protools successfully-rewire has never functioned properly on my intel machine- once i did that it reported that the firmware in 003 rack had to be updated. this was followed by several incidents of losing contact with the 003.eventually it settled down.
i haven't even begun to look at the core audio situation- i kind of gave up on it long ago. the only program that has ever connected properly for me-without any problems- is VLC player. i'll continue to muck about this afternoon. 2x3Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon/ 5 gigs of ram/ digi 003 rack/default digi plugins-OSX 10.5.3 |

Re: 7.4.2 and rewire-003rack
I am having the same issue. I need to remove the plug in from the plug-in folder and protools will launch. I thought it was one of the compatibility issues with leopard, but still an issue with 7.4.2.
So it might be a different issue all together, hope someone can shed some incite. -Jesse iMac 2.0gHz Intel core duo 1GB RAM OS 10.5.3 PT 7.4.2 003 External Firewire drive (oxford) at the end of the firewire chain.

Re: 7.4.2 and rewire-003rack
Pulling the "digirewire.dpm" plug-in file is a symptom of having installed a non-leopard compatible rewire plug-in.. not rewire functionality of Pro Tools itself..
The 2 common ones from the ignition pack are Reason Adapted and Melodyne essential uno... put your rewire plug-in back in the plug-ins folder go to Mac HD > Library > Application Support and pull the "propellerhead software" folder outta there.. If garage band and logic aren't launching, this should fix that too.. Then update those plug-ins to the newest leopard compatible version before launching or installing them again..
