Default Mono Compatibility

What is the easiest way to check a stereo mix session back and forth for mono compatibility? I guess I am asking for something on the master fader that will sum L/R (the old "mono button").

Is there a stock plug supplied by Digi with PT's that does this?

What would be a 3rd party option if required?

actually I think it should be the part of any decent monitoring system along w/ cut, dim, volume, speaker, and source selection.

We've got a Dangerous Monitor & MQ here and it's super easy to check mixes in mono, reverse phase, etc. Amazing units.
