Second internal hard drive installed and working, but . . .
When I try to open a new PT session, I get this message
"Session must be on an audio record volume" I installed the second drive with the jumpers set to "cable select," since the ide cable has a notch cut out near the mother board connector. In the "Disk Management" window, the new drive shows up as dynamic. If you right click on it, you can see a menu item that says "Convert to basic disc," but the item is not active. I'm thinking maybe I need to reset the jumpers and/or get a new data cable, but that's just a guess. Anybody know for sure? Thanks for your help, as always, and best wishes for the new year! |

Re: Second internal hard drive installed and working, but . . .
Following up -- found the fix (change the new drive to "record" in the workspace) in an earlier post by searching "audio record volume."
BTW -- if you need to change from a dynamic drive format (not PT supported) to basic, here's the fix for that: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/175761 |
