Default Soundminer & Avid

IF we have an Avid session open on an Avid workstation (not ProTools, but the video Avid), can you audition and search within Soundminer, while the Avid session is open and then spot back into the Avid session?

I don't know the answer to your question, but there is a dedicated Soundminer User's forum on Google: Soundminer Users Collective.

Steve and Justin regularly chime in there, making it an interesting list.

Yes - but if you use a Mojo / Matrox or card - then Avid will not play if the other software is using the audio output on that device (Avid - like Protools is not "multitalented" I found the quickest way on Avid was to ad a set of decent JBL computer speakers to the Mac for auditioning. (On Protools I use either a set of speakers on the Mac, or Rewire)
