Export Regions & Roxio Jam
I'm trying to figure out how I can avoid "bounce to disk" when using PTLE and Roxio Jam. I have a 2 trk Master recorded at 44.1 and I've captured the desired regions and exported them. Is there a way to get Jam to import these regions as tracks?

Re: Export Regions & Roxio Jam
I just did this with a live recording that was one continious file. I separated the regions, selected all the regions and from the audio drop down menu of the edit window, exported selected as files. selected wav/16 bit/stereo. Once complete, I opened Jam, dragged the exported files into the Jam window, set the track gap to 0:00:00 and burned. worked perfectly.
Hope this is helpful. |

Re: Export Regions & Roxio Jam
using the "export selected as files, however, doesnt utilize any plug-ins on that track or master fader, so if you are using plug-ins....BTD or recording to 2 new mono tracks works best...

Re: Export Regions & Roxio Jam
If you're not doing any processing to the regions.. then simply use the Region menu item: Export Region Definitions and in Jam add the regions instead of the files.

Re: Export Regions & Roxio Jam
what about if you're working in 24bit 48khz and you need to dither down to 16 bit, do you have to bounce or can you export to 16bit ie. is export dither better than the plug in dither?

Re: Export Regions & Roxio Jam
Wow. Export as files works great! I do alot of 2 trk processing of live shows. Very nice. However, I tried to get Jam to see the regions, but it doesn't. Since I didn;t use any plugins I'm good to go. If I wanted to use plugins, I save the tracks as two mono tracks? Whats BTD?
Thanks all for your suggestions. You just saved me ALOT of time! |
