Default Now YOU are Avid CEO!

What if you were Avid CEO and could do whatever you pleased with the Eleven technology. What would you do? Yes we have Ideascale and that is cool. We could implement the best of those ideas, fix the bugs and all but what about beyond that? As time goes on, you could put that code to work in a number of ways as hardware becomes more and more capable. One thing to keep in mind from my point of view at least is perhaps the best most unique “feature” is the True-Z interface. I recall playing it for the first time and it just “felt” like it was real.

Our Eleven Racks started out as a plugin. At the core, it is software algorithm’s. Here are some of the things I am thinking of. Let’s help Avid get creative!
  • Take a page from Roland's book and add it to the new .004 interface.
  • Take a page from Roland, Fender and Gibson and partner with a good guitar company and embed it right in the guitars! Taylor is right there in California. Go talk it over with them!
  • Give it away for free as a plugin version in PT 11.
  • Make an orange foot controller that just works. This is an area of weakness. Playing live could be better.
  • Make a floorboard version.
  • Compete with the likes of IK Multimedia and put it on your iPhone, iPad and everything else that moves.
  • 11 Rack on a chip in coffee maker’s toaster’s fridges… whatever. (Available in orange only!)

Any more cool ideas beyond just more features? Get aggressive and get it out there!

Stand Alone Editor!

I'll even compromise. I don't need the power and resource-taxing full ProTools LE 8, 9, 10 or cost. How about letting 11R work with more consumer version, less cpu and resource taxing I assume, of PT? I just want to enjoy the 11R and record some tracks.
