6-Track BWAV from Logic not recognized by PT
Hi,
why does PT not recognize an interleaved BWAV (L,R,C, LFE, Ls, Rs 24bit 44,1kHz) from Logic audio? QT and Soundminer read them fine. Thanks, Frank.

Might be a Microsoft WAV Format Extensible - I think Pro Tools still has a problem with these.

Thanks,
I´ll spot them with Soundminer. It reads them fine. Frank.

Re: 6-Track BWAV from Logic not recognized by PT
Sound Forge opens them (and anything else!) no worries at all. You can then export the files as whatever you like.
IMAX DTAC files use these (16Bit/44.1kHz 6 track .wav/interleaved BWF). Sound Forge 9 for Win and Peak Pro 6 for Mac are two applications I can't do without for all that stuff. |

Re: 6-Track BWAV from Logic not recognized by PT
This sounds to simple, but I'll ask anyways. Does the Import Audio function not do the trick?
Then view the region with the original TC stamp for spotting. Ted |

Re: 6-Track BWAV from Logic not recognized by PT
The reason is: PT doesn´t suport the SMPTE track layout. No way around it other than using third party software to convert.
frank.

Re: 6-Track BWAV from Logic not recognized by PT
This is easily fixable.
A few years ago Digi did not support B-Wave. Now they do. Any track config should be fine. A true multichannel wave file should also be playable in it's native format ala Nuendo and others. Digi needs to get it back on "the list" Hey digi mods... any thoughts here? |
