side by side error message
Hi
PT8 & Windows XP Pro SP3 Each time I launch PT8 I am getting 9 error events appearing in my event log saying... ------------------------- Event Type: Error Event Source: SideBySide Event Category: None Event ID: 59 Description: Generate Activation Context failed for c:\Program Files\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Controllers\003_Resource804.d ll. Reference error message: The operation completed successfully. ------------------------- For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. Event Type: Error Event Source: SideBySide Event Category: None Event ID: 59 Description: Resolve Partial Assembly failed for Microsoft.VC80.DebugCRT. Reference error message: The referenced assembly is not installed on your system. ----------------------------- Any suggestions on how to resolve please? Look into this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=32BC1BEE-A3F9-4C13-9C99-220B62A191EE&displaylang=en this has fixed it for some.
It appears to be driver corruption or a possible registry related issue, Uninstall anything recent and re-install. Or, better yet go back to your last system drive image that worked. Post a Sandra report.

Thanks - I'll try the MSoft approach first.
Actually, I seem to recall having this issue with another program some while ago and found a fix on Google Just have to try to find where I stored it now.... John
