pro tools 9 all of a sudden very unstable

i have just upgraded to a new machine, and after re-installing everything and trying to get back to work pro tools has become very unstable (rtas errors, cpu errors, meters/playback very glitchy) can someone please help me, sandra below.

I have a P8P67 with the i5 2500K on it and the onboard firewire would not work at all. Adding an approved card solved that issue. Otherwise, you need to do ALL the system tweaks recommended by Avid. Also, you may improve things by setting RAM timing and voltage manually. The AUTO setting on mine chose incorrect settings for both timing, and voltage.
