Combining Monos into Stereo
I see there is a way to split a stereo track into 2 mono tracks, is the reverse possible?

Re: Combining Monos into Stereo
If you have a L track and a R track in two mono tracks, just move them next to each others, then create a stereo track, choose both mono tracks and drop them into stereo track.

Re: Combining Monos into Stereo
Thank you for such a timely response!!
Another issue: I solo a track and move the cursor about the timeline; sometimes the audio is heard, sometimes not--even though I can see the levels moving. When I play the same track together with the others, the unheard audio is heard. This seems quite strange. Any ideas?

Re: Combining Monos into Stereo
Quote:
1-any stereo audio track can be split to 2xMono tracks by right-click on the track name and select Split to Mono.(you would then delete or hide/make inactive the original stereo track) 2-as for combining 2 mono tracks into a single stereo, Janne hit that on the head, but my 2 cents is; why bother. I would simply make a group of the 2 and treat them as a stereo track without bothering to actually put them together(which doesn't offer a significant advantage that I can see)

Re: Combining Monos into Stereo
Depends what you want to do with the stereo image. Sometimes it is just easier to have it as a stereo track and insert a stereo plugin, or sometimes it is easier to send two mono tracks to stereo aux ane process there.. also automation is different in the two scenarios
