Should I enable ASUS Cool & Quiet technology???

Hey all,

My ASUS K8V SE Deluxe mobo has a feature called "cool and quiet" which apparently adjusts various CPU parameters, supposedly making the system run ..... ahem.... cool and quiet.

Anyone using this???? Should I enable or disable???

I'm guessing here, but I bet it cuts current or voltage to the cpu to generate less heat, so I would disable it if it were my rig.

Cool & Quiet is a feature of AMD for AMD64 processors wich replace CPU Idle style softwares. It works fine with me and give me a 24° of temperature for CPU when idle and normal performances when i use Protools. I have no problem with it. You must install AMD Athlon 64 Driver to enable this function in Windows note that AMD driver version is better than Microsoft driver wich is supplied with SP2... Well SP2? nobody uses SP2
