Have you tried with different plugins? Are they also working with M1?

How bad is the fan noise ? Would you have a problem recording in the same room with a sensitive condenser mic?

Thanks again
The noise is there, nothing comparable to a noisy laptop, or to 192's.

I will have an answer for you in a couple of days since I will record a solo acoustic guitar thing with my Km54 and use a fair bit of compression.
If it works in this scenario.. you're fine whenever.

PS. I noticed the noise is very directional, towards the front of the unit.

Hi all.
Noticing your system says pro tools ultimate.
Does Carbon come with ultimate or standard software?
What are the advantages of ultimate with carbon?
There’s a sale on ultimate 50% off until March 31...
Anyone know the advantages if any with the carbon setup ??

I had the option to extend my current Ultimate license free for 1 year ,so I did that

That advantage (or not ) of Ultimate with Carbon is the same as for any interface and is dependent on personal workflow needs or wants
Best to go to Avid's Version comparison page to make that determination

Just for fun, a video with a Carbon on a Mac mini M1 (in German). It looks pretty good:

Nice. He’s using with Rosetta. But it’s working :)

One “other” question ,

I’ve heard from a pro audio dealer here in EU, and other sources that the Carbon was designed by DAD in Denmark like the MTRX...
I thought I read that Carbon was an in house Avid design.
Any answer on this? Perhaps the Carbon takes some elements from the MTRX?
Thanks !
