Alternates Match Doesn't Work - Screen Recording
-Occurs in Pro Tools 10.3, 10.2, and 9.0.6
-Using Mbox 3rd Gen, No interface at all, and Digi 002 -Tested on Macs with OS10.6.8 -32 and 64 bit machines -performed all system optimizations -performed multiple system wipes and re-installs View the video of the problem here: http://youtu.be/bL_WuGkiXSU I loved the idea of the Alternates Match feature so I incorporated it into my workflow for an animated series. I even did some training sessions to show staff how to fully utilize Pro Tools' "great time-saving feature that will allow us to start building a final edit during V/O". Well, I found out later that the Alternates Match feature is seriously flawed. It displays things that I didn't select, plays files that are not being displayed, plays multiple files at the same time and renders false waveforms. I discovered the problem in PT10 and Avid claims they can't recreate it on their machines. I've tested this on five different machines AND in Pro Tools 9. It happens across the board. Has anybody else experienced this? |
