Default weird midi probs ptle7

Hi,

I put a post up recently about midi constantly hanging or not playing etc, but no-one seemed to have any ideas how to fix it - or didn't understand what i meant.

iv'e since re-installed ptle7 and that hasn't fixed anything. iv'e also noticed that when i set up a click track the click doesnt really work. it might click for the first couple of beats after i hit play and then stop or it might not click at all. i have a feeling these problems are caused by the same thing.

i also sometimes get an error after booting tools that says something about a clocking error. im not using the spdif on my mbox2 and the clock is set to internal. a reboot usually fixes this problem.

please help as this is really frustrating and means i cant run rtas instruments/reason etc reliably.

here's a basic rundown of my system.

windows xp pro.
asus a8n-sli
amd64 4400 x2
2g ram
2 x 250 western digital hd's - 1 x sata, 1 x ide
mbox2 ptle7

Cheers

Sam

Great, All i had to do was edit the boot.ini (or whatever it was called) file!

I have no idea what i was doing or why it worked but everything is great now!

Thanks
