Re: high speed audition options?
save your session as and then clear your tracks. Just start dragging s**t out and listening to them one at a time. Much faster

high speed audition options?
We all know that you option click (hold) to audition regions in the region bin. Is there any way to audition individual files at very high rates of playback speed -- or to jump/scan far forward in the sound file? I am trying to find a missing vocal file. Many of the voluminous files in the region bin have quite long dead spaces at the head...

Re: high speed audition options?
Hi ,
I would suggest browsing the audio files in the Import browser, in the audio folder. This was you can scan through the clips, and also control the volume. If you stuff is named resonably well , it shouldnt be too hard. mesh |

Re: high speed audition options?
I keep an alias of Quick Time on the desktop. If you drag an audio file from the audio files folder onto this alias, you can play it with Quick Time if your Mac sound outputs are routed through Pro Tools. You can drag lots out and get a new QT window each time, then switch between them as they play.
You don't even need to open Pro Tools to do this, and you can also audition files you've converted to CD format. Useful for instant comparison of mixes, or for checking files aren't corrupted before you burn them to CD. |

Re: high speed audition options?
Just read your post again. You can audition at high speed by scrolling: use the selector tool, hold down alt/option and control and the mouse determines how fast playback goes in either direction. Or there's control+numeric keypad (I think its ctrl). 5 is normal speed, higher numbers are faser, lower slower.
