7.4cs7 update gone wrong?
Just updated to 7.4cs7 and now whenever I load protools it hangs at "DAE Loaded".
The tech support is closed for the weekend, anyone got any ideas what I can do to figure this out? I already tried deleted my prefs and databases, and it didn't help. Thanks in advance |

Re: 7.4cs7 update gone wrong?
What if you delete the IE7 Cookies?
This has helped people on 7.4 get PT to launch as strange as it sounds. Open up IE7, go to tools and choose to delete the cookies. You might also try uninstall / reinstall using the -fix method here: http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?...0&itemid=29785 I'd also run msconfig and turn off all background services and startup items as described in the general troubleshooting sticky. |

What system are you running ? (computer specs etc.) Did you step up from cs5, or something earlier?? Have you had any problems before with any updates or computer issues in general..??

Havin' some minor issues with bfd2 and cs5...and I don't think cs7 addresses those issues specifically. If I did want to drop back to cs4, would it just be a matter of running the cs4 installer again.??.......never back-peddaled before

Re: 7.4cs7 update gone wrong?
me either. but i think you're on-point with how to do it. total un-install of the current with install of the older cs. yeah, cs5 and cs7 don't address anythin' i've run into. i'm gonna look at the 'fade' fix a bit closer to make sure of that one tho

Re: 7.4cs7 update gone wrong?
well I found a current solution to the problem in another thread:
http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=222583 But this still is rather inconvienant, but at least it works. Funny thing is I downgraded from cs7 to cs5, after reinstalling pt7.4LE, just to see if it'd make a difference and now cs5 is hanging at DAE Loaded. 77pro, I am running AMD64 6000+ 2.6ghz, with 2gb of DDR. And Vista Home. |

Re: 7.4cs7 update gone wrong?
Sounds like it's a system problem of some type, not related to the cs7 update.
btw...what was your procedure for downgrading ??
