I'm a bit late with the news, been busy. However, for those concerned...

TRASH IS BACK

It's been overhauled, lost a few features, but gained some others. All in all it still excellent. $50 intro price, but $30 for existing Trash owners.

I was going to buy it immediately until I noticed they kind of neutered it. I loved Trash 2. Too bad.

Still miss Iris and Breaktweaker but I won't hold out hope for those if this is the precedent.

yep - I agree - I'm holding on to Trash 2

... willing to wait until Trash 3 comes on sale and buy it then as a "required additional extra", if I feel I really have to have it ...

What seems to be mostly missing in Trash is the 2 eqs and 2 distortion stages, with the ability to do your own transfer curves.

You can, though, still create a blend of distortion with up to 4 curves and add automation. The convolution has been improved by allowing you to merge up to 4 samples there too. So in part Trash has been improved with added flexibility.

But then, the eqs are missing. You can still use an external eq before and after Trash if needed, plus they have that filter, so that isn't much of a big deal form me. I will, however, miss how I can take a distortion curve and tweak its response a little so it's more complimentary to the sound. That's more of a big deal for me

I'm kind of hoping that the custom curve shaping will be reintroduced in a later version. If we all hound them enough, they will be more likely to add the missing features back again.

FabFilter is having an anniversary sale, with 30% off everything. It's mostly standardized pricing everywhere, but I found FabFilter Total Bundle for $546.86 at PluginDiscounts.com. you need to have an account and be logged in to see the price. I think the sale goes until the end of April.

Definitely! Up until now, I've only had Pro-Q 3, which has become my go to EQ for most things, unless I want some color or a specific "thing". I probably won't use everything in the Total Bundle, but I will likely use a lot of it. It was definitely much cheaper than trying to cherry pick what I want.
