Default Audio engine play startup deadline and other issues

Hi all, I've been having a number of issues with PT 8.0 and (PT 7.4.2 previously). I often get "Audio engine play startup deadline was missed," "Lost communication with 003," super-loud stuttering noises followed by crash, and just good ol' computer freezes.

Restarting everything fixes the problem until it happens again, which can be 1 minute into mixing, or 6 hours later.

These issues mainly happen in two situations:

1 - anytime I use Izotope RX (1.08) or Ozone (4.03), but the RTAS meter isn't never 14% when this happens. With these plugs I get the startup deadline or lost communication messages. Switching to 3 processors in the engine seems to help, but doesn't rid of the problem.

2 - anytime I'm mixing at 88.2 or 96. in this situation i often get loud stutters followed by crash, or just a computer freeze (mouse doens't move and keyboard commands aren't responsive).

My specs:

Mac Pro 2x3 Dual Core Intel Xeon
Mytek stereo96 ADC and DAC
6 GB RAM
PT 8.0 (engine: 1024 buffers, 4 processors, 85%)
003R
DV Toolkit2

I've tried several things like trashing the prefs and databases, and removed Sansamp. Any suggestions would be great!

Reducing the number of processors dedicated to RTAS processing in the Playback Engine will likely resolve these issues for you.
