Got my mBox connected to a AMD XP2800+, 2.083MHz, 512 MB RAM. My harddrive is a Seagate S-ATA 160GB 7200RPM... When the harddrive is working, there appears a noise witch is not that loud, but annoying.
Should I get an additional harddrive? Does S-ATA drives make more noise than IDE? Thanks for reading and replying! |

Just curious, is the Mbox sitting on top of the computer?

I'm having the same problem. And I still haven't found the answer. When I run my mbox straight to my powered montiors I don't hear a thing. But when I run it to the mixer I can hear it

After weeks of trying I have found the answer to it in my system. It wasn't the MBOX, PC or Mixer. I found that my EMU keyboard I had plugin into my mixer was the cause of a ground loop. So I had to put $1.50 ground adapter on it and it worked like a charm. If I had known that I would have done it sooner. Hope that helps.

Hmm, more on the clicking noise : When I'm scrolling the mousescroll (the middle scrollbutton on the mouse), the sound is especially loud....
