Default Volume automation in adjacent regions

I have two adjacent regions on a track, and the second of the two has a volume automation change (let's say -6 dB for that region). When I go back to the waveform view and nudge the second region earlier (let's say by 9 frames) and then return to the volume view, the first breakpoint in the nudged region is no longer at the start of the region. It has moved 1 frame later. This does not occur when nudging later, only earlier. I am using Pro Tools 5.1. Any thoughts?
