Default OMF import/export

i think it's kinda funny how Cubase, Nuendo, Sonar, and undoubtably other major sequencers include OMF import/export FREE with the respective program, yet...

us PT ppl have to pay an extra $495 just to get it (DigiTranslator). so messed up.

Yea I know it sucks a lot. I have had to like jump hurtles to get some omf stuff from the studio i work to my system here.

It really should be included, actually almost everything in the dv toolkit should be free. In digital performer you get it all free, omf inport/export, time code rulers, even voc align.

Oh well.

Espicially since the mac-people have the FREE OMF-tool. That is very limited as i understand, but we now just have nothing...

You'd almost believe that Avid owns Pro Tools wouldn't you?

Cheers,
