Issues installing PT on new system/hardware issue
We tried installing the most recent version of PT on a new workstation laptop. It's looking for hardware which we don't have nor did we install it to look for hardware. When we try launching PT it asks for us to engage the hardware before opening and then quits. We've tried uninstalling but it won't allows us to uninstall the software. iLock is working fine.
Any thoughts or work arounds here? We have a support ticket in but don't know how long that takes technicians to answer and resolve. |

Re: Issues installing PT on new system/hardware issue
This does not makes sense and is unlikely to get you useful help.
Start at “help us help you” up the top of each DUC web page, and provide the type of info asked for there. You installed on exactly what make/model computer running exactly what OS version? Pro Tools does not “look for hardware”. What exactly is happening? If you are seeing an error message or dialog panel what exactly does it say. Post a screen shot. There is no Pro Tools message that says “engage the hardware”... again Clearly, exactly what Are you seeing? A Pro Tools Playback Engine dialog panel? Post a screen shot. What playback engine aka Audio interface did you plan to use with Pro Tools on this computer? Did you install the device drivers for that interface? It won’t uninstall... exactly how are you trying to uninstall the software and exactly what error are you getting? |
