What native plug-in was in this price range before?

And besides that...I don't see my plug-ins as a future safe investment. It's the here and now use that matters to me....like it was when I spent 125.000 kroners on an Emulator II back in early '85

I should've left out native. I won't buy a plugin in that price range ever again, and especially not one that is native only. I'm still using an old rig, so the CPU power available isn't all that much.

I agree. I've had many plugins go obsolete, so I know they are not future-safe. That's just how it goes, and a big part of why I've basically stopped upgrading my studio equipment. I occasionally buy new stuff, but don't spend $$$ like I did before. Enough already.

I share this feeling, but I also think that there's a fair amount of "wow factor" as in having Lexicon in an ITB mix. TC is really on par with the PCM but they're just little different. TC for drums, PCM for vocals, never the other way around (IMO).

Good to have both

Oh, and the Eventide Reverb too, couldn't live without it.

Wow, that got heated for a hot minute :)

No mention of Waves?

I LOVE the IR Convolution Reverbs.

I have not liked any other verbs as much as these.

I also bought the entire 2 DVD collection of Waves IR's as well.

AND, they just released the notes and sweep for creating your own IR's!!!!!

I've been toying with this and getting some very interesting and accurate results.
I almost have it figured all the way out I think (I mean, I'm doing it, but learning what to change in order to get to what I want to capture more in each environment)

Friggin awesome!

As far as future upgradability... Waves has ALWAYS offered upgrade paths, and I believe that their WUP is a bargain on my plugs, and each version offers NEW PLUGS!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

If you like convolution reverbs (I do), Altiverb XL is the one to have. Best IR library by far.
